Japanese New Year's Celebration 'Oshougatsu'
Oshougatsu is the biggest event of the year! Families visit the shrine (Hatsumoude) and pray for a good new year. Children get to enjoy an array of games including spinning tops, kites and a traditional Japanese board game called Sugoroku .
